The former City Hall Annex located at 66 Union St. S is undergoing a modern and state-of-the-art renovation by RCG SE, LLC. The City sold the building to RCG after City offices relocated to the new City Hall.
The City of Concord recently opened a non-profit center on the lowest level of the building containing 10 offices spaces and access to a shared conference room. Eligible applicants are 501 (c) non-profits that benefit the general public and contribute to the City’s cultural, social, and economic vitality. The main and second levels are for lease by RCG and will offer customizable retail, restaurant, and office space perfectly positioned at the heart of Concord. Strategically located on the corner of Union Street South and Barbrick Avenue, The Annex is across from the soon-to-be-completed Cabarrus County Courthouse and the new Cabarrus Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship co-located with the Cabarrus Economic Development Corporation.
In addition to opening the non-profit center in the basement level, the City supported the project by granting a 3-year performance tax-based incentive that will be paid from new property tax revenues that the project generates.
