Construction Updates

October 13, 2023 Streetscape Update

This week, Downtown Streetscape crews were able to take a peek into the 100+ year old box culvert being abandoned that runs underneath an existing building between Union Street and Market Street. This box culvert is made of rock and mortar with a granite slab ceiling and helped carry storm water flow from Church Street all the way to Spring Street.

Crews have officially completed all storm water drainage work within the current work zone and started demolishing the road and current curb-line to make room for our new 22ft. sidewalks!
