This week, Downtown Streetscape crews continued installing storm drainage on Union St., working from Barbrick Ave. north towards the midblock crosswalk. This work will continue through next week.
While a lot has changed in Downtown since Streetscape Crews started work on Union St. in February, what hasn’t changed is our love for great food, music, shopping, and getting together with friends and family!
Come Downtown and spend the day with us on Saturday, May 20th for our first Social Saturday! The event will be held from 12-6pm on Union St. between the construction fence and Cabarrus Ave.
- Live performances from Neal Carter 12-2:30pm & Taplow 3-6pm
- Gather & Cheers Tap Truck will be on site with prosecco, wine, and beer from 12-3pm
- Shop our local boutiques + The Lenz Studio hosting a pop-up market with vendors 12-4pm
- Grab a bite or drink from our Local Restaurants
- Explore the works of 40+ local artists at Cabarrus Arts Council through the new LIM|NAL: The Space Between art show
Be sure to stick around after the event for even more entertainment at one of Downtown Concord’s venues: Mac Tabby Cat Cafe, Kodiak Bar & Lounge, and Lil’ Robert’s Place who all have live music planned!
