Downtown Streetscape crews continued installing the new water line through the intersection of Union Street and Cabarrus Avenue. In addition to water line work, crews set a new sewer manhole and are installing new sewer mains in the intersection.
They also installed landscape drainage pipe, excavated for soil cells, poured foundations for two of the four festoon poles, and poured concrete at the connection to the Courthouse Plaza as shown in the images below.
Next up, work will continue in the intersection and the sidewalks with formwork for new sidewalks installed on the east side of Union St soon.
