This week, Downtown Streetscape Crews installed 157 Ft of sidewalk from 30 Union Street S to the new Novi Lofts. The 16″ water main installation was also completed and backfilled through the Cabarrus Avenue intersection as well as 30 Ft of 8″ sewer main. Festoon poles at the Courthouse Plaza connection were poured and sidewalk crews installed the asphalt base for heavy-duty brick pavers.
Next week, sidewalk crews will continue working on the west side of Union Street, storm drain crews will begin work at the Cabarrus Ave intersection, and electric crews will continue pouring foundations for new light poles.
