Downtown Streetscape crews continue to make progress in the Cabarrus Avenue intersection. Currently, they are installing stormwater across the intersection working north. We anticipate crews to complete this work by early next week then they will switch to sewer work at the intersection and work north towards the library. At this point, some fence movement will occur to keep crews and pedestrians safe.
With the stormwater complete grading crews will start building back the roadway at the intersection.
Multiple crews continue working on sidewalks including installing soil cells, light pole bases, formwork, and new concrete sidewalk pours. Additionally, we’ll see brick paver crews return to install pavers on the east side of Union Street.
