Despite 
freezing temps and 
pouring rain, our Downtown Streetscape crews have been hard at work!
They continued installing the main 16″ water line on Union St. between the Midblock Crosswalk and Cabarrus Ave., while simultaneously working on the sidewalks along Barbrick Ave. where they’ve begun installing brick pavers.
On Barbrick Ave., near the parking deck, crews completed a granite stormwater feature using the granite curbing removed and saved from Union St. This feature will function like any other storm drain, but gave us the opportunity to creatively reuse some of the materials from the old roadway.
