Downtown Concord Streetscape Construction will begin on Union St.

We’re paving the way for new Downtown Concord experiences. Crews have nearly completed installing the new 42 inch stormwater drainage pipes on Barbrick Ave. The electric vault on Barbrick was powered down and removed. Temporary solar lighting was installed on Union St. Next crews will begin installing new water lines and stomwater drainage pipes on Union St.

Beginning on Wednesday, Feb. 22, Union St. will be closed to through traffic between Cabarrus Ave. and Corban Ave.

During construction, the sidewalks will remain open for pedestrians to safely access businesses, and free parking is available throughout the downtown area.
