Old Courthouse Theatre
Concord, NC 28025
Old Courthouse Theatre was founded in 1976 and originally performed in the historic Cabarrus County Courthouse in downtown Concord. We are the area's only all-volunteer community theatre, and we are always in need of more help. Please contact us to let us know if you can volunteer. Each season consists of 4 plays, that typically run over the course of 2 weekends. We are located in the heart of Concord's historic districts and downtown's restaurants and shops. We encourage our patrons to head downtown for a meal before a show or drinks after.

From the moment they walk in, guests feel something different. Set in the beautifully renovated 1876 historic courthouse, fine art fills each gallery on the first floor, and patrons are encouraged to come an hour before the performance to enjoy it along with a local craft beer or glass of wine.
Up the twin spiral staircases to the the second floor, the Davis Theatre provides an intimate musical experience, whether its jazz, blues, Americana or roots. A 227-seat theatre, all seats are close to the performers. Exceptional acoustics and lighting create an incredible atmosphere. And after the show, guests get to meet the performers – no need for special VIP tickets.
Couple that with easy, free parking and great downtown restaurants to visit before or after the show and you have the makings for a perfect evening.
