This week, Downtown Streetscape crews completed 95% of the Sidewalks between Cabarrus Ave and Corban Ave this includes pouring 100 LF of curb and installing sidewalks and brick pavers. Next week, they’ll work to finish up the remaining sidewalk items south of Cabarrus Ave.
Infrastructure crews also completed all 2″ water services between Cabarrus Ave and the Library. Next, they’ll install a 4″ water meter vault at the Hotel Concord before stormwater installation.
You may have noticed the smell of asphalt downtown yesterday as roadway crews installed 156 Tons of asphalt between the midblock crosswalk and Cabarrus Ave! They’ll continue pouring about 75 Tons more of asphalt today.
