The Downtown Streetscape crews continue to pour sidewalks, install light bases near Barbrick Ave, and install soil cells, bollards, and seat walls on Union Street. Today, crews will finish connecting the last 2″ water service line within the current work zone to the main water line.

As infrastructure work continues on Union St. between Cabarrus Ave and the Midblock Crosswalk, crews will begin installing 285 feet of sewer line to replace old terracotta piping from the mid-1900s. Weather permitting, this work is expected to start next week.
