This week, Downtown Streetscape crews have…
✔ Completed pressure testing the new Main Water Lines.
✔ Installed a fire hydrant on Union Street near Means Plaza.
✔ Completed the 42″ stormwater drainage pipe installation from Barbrick Avenue to Union Street.
They’ve also begun working on the 36″ stormwater drainage installation across Union Street working towards the Courthouse.
Next week, crews will construct a new manhole near the intersection of Barbrick Avenue and Union Street and continue stormwater drainage pipes in front of the Cabarrus County Courthouse. Crews will be working in the sidewalk in front of the Courthouse to complete this work. The sidewalk in this area will be closed but pedestrian detours will be available.
