This week, Downtown Streetscape crews installed new 30″ stormwater drainage from the Midblock towards Cabarrus and continued work pouring sidewalks, installing brick pavers, and light pole bases between Barbrick Ave and Corban Ave.
They also began installation of one of two new manholes and the new 285 LF (linear feet) of 12″ ductile iron sewer main between the Midblock and Cabarrus Ave. This work will continue into May. Due to the change in the original scope of this sewer work an extension has been given to the contractor, the new substantial completion date is September 14, 2024. Next week crews will continue pouring new sidewalks and installing brick pavers as well as infrastructure work focusing on the new sewer main.
