After all the rainfall we had in Downtown Concord this week, we got to see the recently completed 42-in. stormwater drainage pipes within the construction zone in action!

Additionally, Downtown Concord Streetscape crews were able to complete the installation of the 36-in. stormwater drainage pipes across Union St. from Barbrick Ave. toward the sidewalk in front of the Historic Courthouse.

The sidewalk in front of the Cabarrus County Courthouse will remain closed for another week as crews work to install stormwater drainage pipes in that area, however, two temporary midblock crosswalks will remain in place to allow easy access for pedestrians.
