While our shops and restaurants often take center stage, Downtown Concord is home to an array of local businesses and organizations. We decided to share some of our not-so-obvious attributes and if you’re late to the resolution party, keep reading!
A new year means a new start or new attempt at something for many people and since downtown is full of inspiration and resources, we decided to share just that –
Let’s start with the obvious, physical fitness. While many people hit the traditional gym setting, if you are looking for something outside of the box, say… belly dancing, martial arts, dance, and more, downtown has a variety of group and private fitness offerings. The McEachern Greenway’s Trail Head is also in downtown and a great option for a scenic walk or run.
Just as important as physical health, mental health! There are several offices in the heart of downtown offering professional counseling and expertise to get your new year off to a great start.
Perhaps your goal is becoming more involved in the community or volunteering. Downtown is home to several non-profit organizations that can point you in the right direction!
We like to use the new year as an excuse to pamper. Why not reward yourself for sticking to your goals and check out a downtown salon for a new do, or book a massage with one of several downtown massage therapists?
If you are making room for a furry friend this year, be sure to check out our friends at Mac Tabby Cat Café. They work with local rescues to place cats into loving homes. Beware, you may not leave the Cat Lounge alone!
Making a move this year? There are several market rate apartments available with the best Views in town. If you are looking to buy, downtown has expert resources in the realty department as well. And while you’re adulting, these financial planning resources are also a hop, skip, and a jump.
Last, but not least, a new year is a great excuse to try something new! So, if you haven’t been downtown in a while, or at all, there’s no better time to visit! Take advantage of new programs and events being added weekly amongst our downtown partners including free to low cost programs at the Cabarrus Center, the Cabarrus Arts Council, your Concord Library, and more, many of which are hybrid, offering both in-person and virtual experiences.
What are you planning to do in 22’? Let us know on social and be sure to tag us when you’re out and about in Downtown Concord!
