This week, Downtown Streetscape crews poured 237 LF of new sidewalks on the east side of Union Street. Sidewalk crews also worked on installing heavy-duty reinforcement and formwork for the Courthouse Plaza connection. Early next week, that area will be poured.
Infrastructure crews made progress in the Cabarrus Ave intersection as well. They carefully excavated and hand dug around an existing high voltage electrical duct bank and active gas lines and began installing the new 16″ water line through the intersection. This work will continue next week as well.
